Yes. The ashes are returned in an urn of your choice (wood or biodegradable), along with the certificate of cremation and paw print.

  • Is the process environmentally friendly?

Absolutely. AquaCremation uses water-based chemistry with no direct emissions of mercury or greenhouse gases, and it is energy-efficient.

AFTERCARE AND MEMORIALS

  • Can I order keepsake urns or other memorial items?

Yes. We offer several different urn options, in different price ranges.

  • Are the alkalis used in AquaCremation safe for the environment?

AquaCremation uses a controlled alkaline solution and high-temperature processing in a closed system. When operated to regulation-compliant standards, the process yields an EPA-neutral liquid consisting primarily of water and benign organic components, with solid bone remains. The liquid effluent is treated and released in accordance with local environmental regulations. The exact chemical concentrations are managed by the equipment manufacturer and the facility to ensure safety and environmental compliance.

  • Are the powdered ashes safe to handle?

Yes, the remains are 100% safe. The cremated remains that are returned are simply bone mineral, or calcium phosphate. They can be kept in an urn, or may be buried or scatterd in a special place as some famlies choose to do.
